Even if moving to another country is your dream, there are still challenges and realities that set in. I have been in Paris for 6 years and about 2 years ago, I really started to not like it. It was a challenge to always have to think about everything I do in another language. In addition, coming to the realization that even if I do get my citizenship, I will never be French enough. I met Silvia through a mutual friend and she came into my life at exactly the right time. I was literally complaining about being here all the time and wanted to leave. Even if I do leave, I want to leave because I'm being called somewhere, not because I'm running away.
Silvia helped me to get there. She helped me see things from a different perspective, while still honoring my feelings about what is happening as my life is unfolding here.
